The Serpent & The Spiral

In almost every culture, the serpent represents renewal and transformation. In India, the symbol of the serpent represents the vital life energy in each of us, that when awakened, catalyses an evolutionary and healing process in our body-mind.

The spiral is oldest-known symbol of spiritual life. It reflects the universal pattern of growth and evolution. It represents the goddess, the womb, fertility and life force energy. In the natural world, the spiral is found in human physiology, plants, minerals, animals, energy patterns, weather, growth and death.

The spiral evokes the initiatory journey of first going “down and in” so that we may expand, evolve and reach our true potential.

Yoga is an ancient medicine path, left to us by the ancestors, that leads us on the journey toward knowing our true nature and awakening the nurturing, intelligent healing force of Nature within each of us so that we may live fulfilling, soulful and harmonious lives.
